AJC New Jersey and AJC Asia-Pacific Institute invite you to join us on November 28, 2018 as we remember the individuals who tragically lost their lives in the Mumbai terror attacks of 2008. Our communities will come together to light memorial candles and remember the fallen.

Consul General of Israel, Dani Dayan, and Consul General of India, Sandeep Chakravorty will offer words of remembrance and members of the Jewish and Indian communities will take part in a brief memorial observance. A variety of kosher vegetarian Indian hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

The Mumbai massacre was a synchronized multi-targeted rampage that lasted four days and killed 166 people, wounding hundreds more. The twelve Mumbai sites hit on November 26, 2008, included a rail station, a restaurant, a major hotel where dozens of hostages were held for four days, and, notably, a Jewish centre where five people, including a rabbi and his wife, were murdered.
