Once thought to be relics of a bygone era, white supremacist groups have re-emerged in America. How far-reaching is the ideology of white supremacy in the U.S. and what can be done about it? In a discussion presented by the Leonard Greenberg Forum for Domestic Policy Issues, experts from around the country discussed how best to confront this looming threat. Featuring Brian Levin, Director, Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, California State University, San Bernardino; Tony McAleer, Co-Founder and Board Chair, Life After Hate; Janet Reitman, Contributing Writer, The New York Times Magazine; Brette Steele, Director of Prevention; and National Security, McCain Institute for International Leadership. This session was moderated by Rabbi Noam Marans, Director, AJC Interreligious and Intergroup Relations and introduced by Ned Dubilo, AJC Executive Council.
