AJC Dallas mourns the loss of Max Glauben, a Holocaust survivor who inspired thousands over his 94-year life. A founder of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, Max worked tirelessly to ensure the lessons of the Holocaust would be preserved for future generations. In 2019, The Dallas Morning News named him Texan of the Year in recognition for “being a source of hope and inspiration for his message of tolerance, fairness and forgiveness.”

“It is poignantly fitting that we lost Max on Yom HaShoah, (Holocaust Remembrance Day),” noted AJC Dallas Regional Director Joel Schwitzer. “For many, the name Max Glauben has always been synonymous with learning the lessons the Shoah has to teach humanity.”

A shiva is planned to take place Sunday evening at the Museum. Please refer to the museum website at http://www.dhhrm.org for more information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.
