AJC's Voices Against Antisemitism: Video Series

AJC’s Voices Against Antisemitism

In April 2024, American Jewish Committee (AJC), the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, released its inaugural Voices Against Antisemitism campaigna series of six powerful videos featuring American Jewish celebrities and influencers, reckoning with the impact of Hamas’ October 7 massacre, the rise of anti-Jewish hate, including in the form of anti-Zionism, in the U.S., the hostages being held in Gaza, and why Israel is critical to the Jewish people.

At the end of each video, viewers are directed to join AJC in taking action to combat antisemitism through implementing the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, bring home the hostages held by Hamas, and to stand with Israel. You too can take action at AJC.org/TakeAction.

AJC’s Voices Against Antisemitism is AJC’s latest initiative to show how rising antisemitism in America impacts Jews and why everyone must take action to address it.

Anti-Zionism: The Latest Antisemitic Trend

In the wake of Hamas’ October 7 massacre of Israelis, there has been an alarming rise in anti-Jewish hate in America. But why does a conflict thousands of miles away impact the safety and security of American Jews? In these videos Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eitan Bernath, Modi Rosenfeld, Elon Gold, Moshe Reuven, Jonah Platt, Lizzy Savetsky, and Ariel Martin discuss why we must actively push back against this form of antisemitism.

#BringThemHomeNow

On October 7, Hamas terrorists kidnapped 240 Israelis – taking civilians from their homes and a music festival celebrating peace. Over 130 remain in captivity in Gaza. This is a global humanitarian crisis. In this video, Brandon Farbstein, Ariel Martin, Elon Gold, Sarah Idan, and Jennifer Jason Leigh underscore the urgent need to #BringThemHomeNow.

The State of Antisemitism in America

“Immediately after October 7, I felt fear.”
“I think to myself, should I take off my kippah?”
“People say they wish I was dead.”

American Jews feel less safe. AJC’s State of Antisemitism in America 2023 Report found that 78% of American Jews who heard about the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel say it made them feel less safe as a Jewish person in the U.S. In these videos, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jonah Platt, Lizzy Savetsky, Eitan Bernath, Brandon Farbstein, Gabriel Boxer, Moshe Reuven, Ariel Martin, and Modi Rosenfeld discuss the antisemitism they have faced in the wake of the single deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust.
