In honor of the 75th anniversary of Israel's rebirth, AJC Global Forum—the premier annual global Jewish advocacy event—returned to Israel, convening for the first time in Tel Aviv. In our Closing Plenary, Yossi Klein Halevi, bestselling author of Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor, had a thought-provoking conversation with a dynamic student from AJC’s Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) program. They explored topics core to the future of Israel and the Jewish people. We also heard from Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli. A special presentation of AJC Moral Courage Award was given to the Sawaed family, a Bedouin tribe that has shown unwavering support for Israel and its security despite enduring the loss of 18 family members in the line of duty.
To conclude AJC Global Forum 2023, AJC CEO Ted Deutch took to the stage, wrapping up key highlights from the conference, and delivered a rousing call-to-action, inspiring us all. Finally, all attendees sang a rendition of Hatikvah, Israel’s national anthem.
