AJC New York held our inaugural Parents & Schools Summit, convening 190 school administrators, parents, and students across New York City for an important conversation about addressing antisemitism and fostering inclusive communities in New York educational institutions.

We thank Joe Algrant, Head of Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Jonathan Cannon, Head of The Ramaz School, and Dr. Tom Kelly, Head of Horace Mann School, for speaking with our leaders about their commitment to supporting the Jewish communities in their schools. Following this panel discussion moderated by Dr. Laura Shaw Frank, AJC Director of Contemporary Jewish Life, participants engaged in breakout sessions exploring anti-Zionism, DEI, and how to handle antisemitic incidents at school.

AJC New York extends our gratitude to Chairs Karina Plotko, Heather Stern, and Robin Unterberg for their vision and dedication to this initiative, as well as our event committee for their support. We thank our Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) students for sharing with us their hope for the future and exemplifying what it means to be proud Jewish students and young leaders.

We are grateful to the Temple Emanu-El Philanthropic Fund for their generous contribution to this summit and Congregation Rodeph Sholom for their partnership in hosting this important program.
