The Business Analyst Associate will report to the Director of Strategic Business Systems and work closely to provide timely, accurate and high-quality analytics, reports and constituent insights to externally-facing AJC staff at AJC’s NY Headquarters and regional offices nationwide and worldwide.
While located in the IT Department, this is not a classic IT role. It will be attractive to individuals who, while being familiar with and comfortable with IT, are career-focused on analytics and client insights, with a passion for not-for-profit work and the issues central to AJC’s mission.

Major Functions:
- Run reports and conduct analyses, along with other team members including marketing, development and regional staff, of constituent data in Raisers Edge in support of AJC strategic initiatives;
- Manage subscriber lists, create email messages to constituents and donors, automate workflows;
- Build, manage, and quality-assure queries for email marketing campaigns via IBM Watson Campaign Automation/SilverPop and Email Playground;
- Build, update, and manage contact, advocacy, donation, and event registration forms on AJC’s two engagement platforms, Springboard and Eventbrite;
- Assist regional staff on website updates;
- Become subject matter expert for Eventbrite, SilverPop and Email Playground, Springboard and Salesforce. Train end-users and suggest improvements; work with marketing and IT teams and with vendors to develop and implement improved processes and technologies;
- As needed, assist regional staff in the creation of Eventbrite forms;
- Support other departmental initiatives as needed, and as time allows.
- In consultation with Marketing, ensure that externally facing materials adhere to AJC brand guidelines.
Personal Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- College degree preferred;
- Desire for career in not-for-profit sector;
- Previous not-for-profit professional experience; this can include internships and fellowships, but ideally more than volunteer work;
- Previous experience working with databases and email marketing systems a plus;
- Passion for issues central to our mission of global advocacy;
- Previous experience with, and familiarity with, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Eventbrite and/or SilverPop a plus;
- Previous experience working in a service/support role a plus;
- Knowledge of/experience with email marketing using systems such as Bronto, Constant Contact, and Mailchimp a plus.
