Daniel Pomerantz – a survivor of Hezbollah’s July 18, 1994, terror bombing of AMIA, the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires – addressed AJC Global Forum 2024, thanking American Jewish Committee (AJC) for its decades-long support of AMIA following the deadliest antisemitic attack outside Israel since the Holocaust. Pomerantz expressed gratitude for AJC pressing Argentine officials to name all the nefarious actors behind the attack, to hold the criminals accountable, and to do what’s necessary to prevent future attacks.
