Empowering High School Students to Become Global Jewish Leaders
Jewish high school students are not just future leaders, but today’s leaders. Through education and advocacy programs, High School Affairs at American Jewish Committee (AJC) works to empower teens to speak up for Israel and the Jewish people, and speak out against growing antisemitism and bigotry.
By working with students, and high school administrators, AJC High School Affairs is creating a stronger environment for the Jewish community within secondary schools, before students arrive on campus, and beyond. Learn more about what High School Affairs can do in secondary school spaces here.
What We Do:
At AJC, our students play a crucial role in our global Jewish advocacy. A cornerstone of AJC High School Affairs is our innovative and award-winning Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) program. With over 1,900 alumni nationally, LFT gives students the tools to talk about the issues impacting world Jewry today, and the leadership skills and confidence to stand up for these issues in high school, college, and throughout their lives.
Alongside LFT, High School Affairs works closely with Jewish students around the country and with relevant administrators to:
- Engage diplomats, civic leaders, and elected officials on issues of importance to Jewish students.
- Build relationships with fellow young intergroup and interreligious partners.
- Develop life-long leadership skills.
