An AJC Los Angeles delegation visited met with senior U.S. and Mexican officials on our Fact Finding Trip to the Border on January 28 and 29. We visited an ICE detention facility in Otay Mesa and were briefed by several organizations on the human rights situation, border security, immigration, and U.S.-Mexico relations. During this groundbreaking trip, we met with members of Tijuana's Jewish community, served food to 800 migrants, and were briefed by the innovative Tijuana Innovadora working to transform the city into an economic hub.
