American Jewish Committee (AJC) CEO Ted Deutch today released the following statement in response to confirmation that Hamas slaughtered 40 Israeli babies, further depicting the depravity and inhumanity of Hamas’ terror attack against Israel.

“Today, we are learning that 40 babies were murdered in their homes, in their cribs – with some reports of beheading. The evil nature of Hamas and its terrorists is on full display for the world to see,” said AJC CEO Ted Deutch. “More than 72 hours after Hamas attacked Israel, we are still coming to terms with the absolute barbarism and inhumanity inflicted against innocent Israelis – including children, the elderly, parents, and entire families. That anyone could attempt to excuse or rationalize any of this is indefensible. The global community must stand with Israel, with humanity, and against terror.”

AJC is the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people. With headquarters in New York, 25 offices across the United States, 14 overseas posts, as well as partnerships with 38 Jewish community organizations worldwide, AJC’s mission is to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel, and to advance human rights and democratic values in the United States and around the world.
