A big development that made international headlines is the White House’s U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism. This non-partisan plan goes beyond theoretical discussions and provides action items applicable to San Diego, offering us a new set of tools and resources to support lasting positive change in our community.

AJC played a formative role in this initiative (see AJC’s own Call to Action) and announced a Task Force to monitor and support its implementation. This promising development will help support our work here in San Diego, with 100 action items for various sectors of society, including local governments, universities, corporations, and civil society. The San Diego Jewish community cannot fight antisemitism alone; beyond being a Jewish problem, antisemitism affects society at large.

We are eager to employ AJC’s whole-of-society approach and bring best practices from abroad to benefit our work here at home. To achieve this, we are assembling a local Advisory Group to engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders to ensure San Diego serves as a model for the rest of the country.

Thank you for being a part of this next chapter in AJC San Diego. Together we will shape a brighter Jewish future.
