We are very excited to welcome Alissa Bernstein to the AJC LA team as our new Alexander Associate!

Alissa will be working with AJC’s Alexander Young Leadership Department, coordinating our ACCESS AJC young professionals program and Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT), our high school leadership program.

Alissa Bernstein graduated cum laude from Occidental College, where she studied Psychology and Spanish. During her time there, she was President of Occidental College Hillel and worked closely with the college's President and Dean of Students to counter antisemitism on campus. During her senior year, Alissa was selected by the Dean of Students for the 2021 Dean's Award – the college's most prestigious honor. The award is given to a select group of students whose activism on campus promotes the college's four pillars of equity, excellence, community, and service. Most recently, Alissa worked as a Foreign Policy Intern for AJC’s Washington, D.C. office, during which time she published several pieces in such publications as the Jewish Journal and J Weekly. Alissa is excited to continue her work developing the next generation of young Jewish leaders as the LA region's Alexander Associate.

Welcome, Alissa!
