Casey Kustin
Casey Kustin joined AJC as Chief of Staff in 2023. Before coming to AJC, Casey worked for almost 13 years in the United States Congress, serving in various roles for Congressman Ted Deutch including most recently as Chief of Staff. In 2013, she also began serving as Staff Director of the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism Subcommittee on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. She has extensive legislative experience having shepherded major pieces of legislation related to the U.S. – Israel relationship, countering Iran’s nuclear program and human rights abuses, and hostage issues through Congress. In her capacity as Staff Director, Casey worked closely with Congressional leadership to formulate and execute policy related to combating antisemitism, promoting Israel’s security, and strengthening the broader U.S.-Israel relationship. Prior to her work in Congress, Casey served as a Legislative Assistant to Ted Deutch in the Florida State Senate, and she began her career working in the Florida State House. She has worked on political campaigns at the state and national level, including on Jewish outreach for a presidential campaign. Casey received her bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida in 2006, and holds a master’s degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University.
