In a joint address at AJC Global Forum 2024, AJC CEO Ted Deutch and Adam Lehman, President and CEO of Hillel International, underscored that Jewish and pro-Israel students on college campuses must be protected. Amid increasing threats, harassment, and violence being directed at Jewish students at campus protests and encampments across the country, Ted and Lehman called on universities and their leaders to keep Jewish students safe.
Earlier this year, in March, American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Hillel announced the expansion of its partnership to deepen the organizations’ critical work with college and university presidents and administrators to combat rising antisemitism on campus. As organizations with decades of experience countering antisemitism on campus and strengthening Jewish life, this partnership is a vital step that will improve the campus climate for the Jewish community.
