On the final night of Hanukkah, AJC Los Angeles hosted our annual Diplomatic Hanukkah event, this year titled, "Fiesta de la Luz".
Amid the dark days following the Hamas terror attack of October 7, this unique program highlighted the story of Jews from throughout the Spanish world. There was Ladino choir, flamenco dancers, and a specialty menu catered by a Turkish Sephardic chef.
We were honored to be joined by many community partners including Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Argentinian Consul General Monacci.
We also lit 135 candles for the remaining hostages in captivity. May they all come home safe and soon.
