The recent string of terrorist attacks in Israel preceded and followed a historic gathering in Israel called “The Negev Summit,” which brought together for the first time the foreign ministers from four Arab nations and Israel, along with the U.S. Secretary of State.

American Jewish Committee (AJC) announced today additional grants from its #StandWithUkraine Fund to organizations providing direct humanitarian relief to Ukrainian refugees and to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine following Russia’s unprovoked, violent invasion. “We are compelled by our tradition and humanity to do whatever we possibly can to assist the people of Ukraine as they valiantly fight for their freedom and democratic, independent country,” said AJC CEO David Harris.

AJC Executive Director David Harris called yesterday's attacks in Copenhagen, including against a synagogue, “deplorable and despicable acts of terror” that are another “wake-up call to European leaders of the urgent threats to democratic societies and the values they embody.”
