Like all Americans, some Jews will vote for President Trump and some will vote for Vice President Harris. None of us, by supporting the candidate we choose, is “voting for the enemy.” Divisive rhetoric like this has no place in politics, especially at a time of rising threats of political violence and two assassination attempts on the former president.

World leaders will gather at the United Nations on September 24 to open the 79th session of the General Assembly. This year’s meetings come amid the unprecedented backdrop of Israel’s seven-front defensive war against Iran and its terror proxies and the surge of antisemitism since Hamas’ October 7 massacre of over 1,200 people and kidnapping of more than 250 hostages, 101 of whom remain in captivity.  Here are the top five action items that AJC, the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, is advocating as the UN General Assembly kicks off.
