AJC is calling on the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to “conduct a thorough investigation” of UCLA’s conduct regarding Milan Chatterjee, a law student and former president of the school’s Graduate Student Association.
A student group at Washington, DC’s largest high school, which had sued to compel the school to screen a documentary filled with antisemitic tropes and conspiracies, has agreed not to show the film. A coalition of Jewish groups, including American Jewish Committee, and Jewish parents had supported the school’s decision to stop the film from being shown.
American Jewish Committee (AJC) is deeply disappointed by the adoption today of a UN General Assembly resolution granting the purported Palestinian state additional rights and privileges within the UN system. This unwise resolution violates existing Israeli-Palestinian agreements and further complicates efforts to resume the peace process.
