“The U.S.-Chinese relationship is arguably the single most important bilateral relationship in the world,” said Shira Loewenberg, Director of AJC’s Asia Pacific Institute, who led the 15-member group.
Today, AJC maintains a formal partnership agreement with the Union of Jewish Religious Communities in Poland, and AJC’s Warsaw-based Shapiro Silverberg Central Europe Office and Brussels-based Transatlantic Institute engage regularly with Polish officials.
The opening of the Shapiro Silverberg Central Europe Office in Warsaw in March 2017 afforded AJC the opportunity to strengthen its friendship with Slovakia and its people.
“Mihnea Constantinescu was a stalwart supporter of the State of Israel, a leader in the fight against antisemitism, and a true friend of the Jewish people. His untimely passing is a great loss for all of us,” said AJC CEO David Harris.
AJC condemns the antisemitic attack directed at Andras Heisler, President of the Hungarian Jewish Federation (MAZSIHISZ), in the business magazine Figyelő.
