Mayor Eric Garcetti chaired an AJC delegation of U.S. mayors in Israel from May 11 to 17. The mission, organized by AJC Project Interchange, met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and explored numerous facets of Israeli society. The seminar enhanced U.S.-Israel relations and marked the first delegation under the support of a new Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. Conference of Mayors and AJC.
On May 9, 2019, AJC Los Angeles held its 74th Kaufman Family Annual Meeting in Century City, Los Angeles. Fredrick Levin, Past President and AJC LA Nominating Committee Chair announced the new slate of officers and board, including Scott Edelman as Regional President for a 4th year.
AJC Global Forum, the premier global Jewish advocacy gathering of the year, returned to Washington, D.C., June 2-4, 2019. Over 2,000 participants from more than 50 countries made this one of the largest AJC Global Forums ever.
